Basant Panchami Celebration

Basant Pachami is being celebrated across the country today. On this day, Maa Saraswati-- Goddess of knowledge, language, music and all arts is worshipped. Basant Panchami is worshiped in almost all localities as devotees install idols in several parts of northern India. The festival is significantly celebrated by the students, who chant Saraswati Vandana for their upliftment in studies. Basant Panchami is considered as an auspicious occasion for students. Saraswati Puja was celebrated with great fervour on 30th January, 2020 at Delhi Public School, Dhamtari. All the teachers and students gathered at the school premises to celebrate the day. Puja was offered to the Goddess of Learning by school Principal Mrs. SUPRIYA A.P, Vice Principal Mrs. Urmila Dixit, teachers and students, followed by a cultural celebration. A beautiful rendition from students transcended the ambience. It was an attempt to preserve the Indian culture, to impart a sense of respect towards long established traditions. The celebration came to a close with distribution of ‘Prasada’. Gaiety and piety went hand in hand to live an indelible impression in the mind of all those who witnessed the programme.
